The cost of Hair Transplant depends upon the requirement of hair grafts. Generally we transplant around 45 grafts per square cm. Each graft may contain between 1-5 hairs. On an average each graft contains 2.5 hairs. So if your requirement is 1000 grafts it means you will get around 2500 hairs. The cost calculation is done on the basis of required grafts. Each grafts cost Rs 35/- if the strip method (FUT) is used and Rs 50/- if stitchless method (FUE) is used. You can calculate the area in sq cm depending upon whether it is triangular (1/2 length x breadth) or circular ( ) The above calculation may be close to accurate but cannot replace the calculation by Dr Satya Saraswat. There may be a variation of 10%. So for example, if you a triangular area at the sides like

with length 10 cm and breadth 4 cm then the surface area will be ½ x 10 x 4 = 20 cm2 .
